Rare 1980s A-line skirt from Mondi, the German fashion house founded by Herwig Zahm and Otto Bruestle in 1961, and early employer to Magaretha Ley, founder of Escada. Beloved by Princess Diana of Wales and represented in the '90s by supermodel Christy Turlington, Mondi was known worldwide for its knitwear and diversity in designs. Full pleated high-waist skirt in light yellow with allover black paisley pattern. Silky texture. Yoke waist with belt loops. Back closure: two black buttons above hidden back zipper. Fully lined with one side slit to allow for increased mobility. Tea length - hits below mid-calf. Shell: 100% polyester Lining: 100% acetate Made in West Germany. Great vintage condition.
