Vintage 1970s halter pleated ruched dress. This elegant purple dress is made from a high-quality jersey knit. The top is a halter top with a jeweled neckline. The bodice features jersey draping in the front, creating soft pleats. An elaborate jersey cummerbund with detailed stitching accents the waist. The back of the dress has a soft purple pearlized button at the top, creating a keyhole opening. A hook and eye closure is placed towards the bottom of the keyhole. At the waist, another hook and eye closure is placed with a zipper underneath. The material is a rich purple hue. Approximate Measurements (laid flat): Bust: 15” Waist: 12” Hips: 16” Length: 40” Good condition with one minor flaw: a 1/4” hole through only the first layer of the jersey material, located at the ruching cummerbund area on the right side (see last two photos). There is no label, but the design & quality of the purple jersey knit material suggests this dress came from an expensive department store.
