This style is probably mid-century, give or take, made with Bohemian glass seed beads and glass carnelian tube beads acquired through trade. Fun fact - the long, glass carnelian tube beads in the front are named after the gemstone because the Bohemians (previously Czechoslovakia) were attempting to cut off the carnelian gemstone trade in Africa from the Indians and the Germans a few hundred years ago. The glass version was traded for far less than the gemstone. The Fulani people populate lands from Ghana to Nigeria in West Africa. They are some of the first tribes to convert to Islam and are accredited with helping Islam spread through Africa. They are a semi-nomadic tribe. Unsure of their start, some say Northern Africa moving south as the Sahara turned to desert or ancient Egypt. For them, beads are adornment, status and currency to trade.
