40s Crown Insignia Enamel Pendant Brooch Pendant dangles from original chain but has a brooch pin and clasp in the back for the optional to wear as a brooch. Pendant is divided into three sections. All sections have wonderful craftsmanship with detailed engraving throughout. Top section of pendant has elaborate royal designs and flourishes with the center being a square with color block blue and white enamel. Gold crowns and crosses are surrounded by the color enamel. The second section focal point is an elaborate fleur de lis sitting in square and surrounded with elaborate detailing. The three section is a smaller fleur de lis with 3 triangular charms dangling from it. Sections are connected by oval charms with engraved swirls to connect them. Pendant/brooch comes with the original chain. Chain is a stunning twisted rope design (one photo shows design). This fabulous statement necklace was created in the late 40s It is not signed, but the detail design and construction communicate that this was from a high quality designer. Appropriate Measurements Laid Flat: Pendant total length: 3 1/2” Pendant greatest width: 1 1/4” Chain Length: 17” Condition is good. Back of pendant has some scratches and a little tarnishing in the back. I love how you can wear it this fabulous vintage jewelry piece as a pendant necklace or as a brooch.
