Gorgeous late Victorian–era brooch featuring a faceted oval amethyst-colored glass stone set in an ornate brass mount. The design showcases detailed applied leaves and an intricate coiled wire border — a hallmark of 19th-century craftsmanship. The stone is foil-backed to enhance its brilliance and glows beautifully in natural light. Condition: Excellent antique condition with light surface scratches on the glass and several age-related scratches on the back of the setting, consistent with its 19th-century origin. Brass retains its warm natural patina, and the original C-clasp mechanism functions securely.
