An authentic piece of history ✨ This Victorian bracelet dates to the late 1800s and is stamped “PAT. JULY 22, 1884.” The woven gold-filled mesh band is finished with a rectangular clasp showcasing tricolor floral appliqué and delicate seed pearl accents. At over 140 years old, this bracelet carries the natural patina and surface wear expected of genuine antique jewelry. I have chosen not to polish or clean it, leaving the finish in its original state for the buyer to enjoy as-is or restore if desired. 📏 Size: Adjustable approx. 6”–6.5” 💎 Metal: Rose & yellow gold-filled 🌸 Stones: Seed pearls 📜 Era: Victorian (pat. 1884) A rare collector’s treasure and wearable heirloom. Historical Context: • During the mid-to-late 1800s, woven gold-filled or gold mesh bracelets with ornate clasps were very popular. • It was common for brides to receive them in pairs: • One bracelet would be given at the time of engagement. • The matching mate was given on the wedding day or shortly after marriage. • Worn together on one wrist, the pair symbolized unity, fidelity, and prosperity in the marriage.
