These earrings measure just lightly over 1" wide. Both shells are open at the back as if they are broken but they are both matching so I think it is actually just how they are as they are actual shell. Not bright in tone, quite dull, especially the cream of the shell. Heavy wear to the metal to the rear. Metal has some discoloration and dulling to the halo and rear. Some marks to the front. Preowned vintage earrings, sold as shown - I am unsure of material type(s) because of this. Pictures show different angles for you to review - while I attempt to note any defects, some tarnish/signs of wear may be visible that are not otherwise stated. Earrings are tested and photographed on a thin/smooth earring stand (not included) to show that the clips are in working order.
