Dramatic vintage taffeta jacket and skirt suit in a dusty rose features flat pleated ruffle edging at the neckline by Morton Myles for the Warrens, an amazing example of 1980s true designer vintage. The construction of the fully lined structured jacket takes its cues from the popular 1950’s swing jacket with 3/4 wider sleeves, 3 fabric covered button closure, a flat pleated back, and a flat pleated ruffle collar that can be worn up or down using the double snaps hidden under the collar. The sleeves are pleated at the shoulder without shoulder pads. The matching skirt sits at the natural waistline, is unlined, and features flattering front box pleats for volume and structure, a flat waistband, and two slash pockets. 7” zip with double hook back closure. Morton Myles shot to fame after Jackie Kennedy wore one of his linen dress designs on the cover of Life. His designs were worn by actresses such as Joan Collins on the set of Dynasty. No fabric tag but I’m sure it’s a high quality taffeta. No size tag so please note all measurements and ask questions if needed.
