This vintage ethereal dress was created by luxury clothing designer Carol Peretz in the late 1970’s. This enchanting dress is a size 12, but vintage clothing generally runs small. Two layers of an exclusive custom made Italian silk jacquard. This silk is in a rich buttercream/champagne color and has both lilies and Carol Peretz’s logo woven into it. She hand-beaded Swarovski crystals onto the eyelet lace and gossamer tulle on the sleeves. An elegant bateau neckline, almost off the shoulder. Hidden back zipper. Fully lined in polyester. It reminds me of 1920’s/1930’s wedding dress. Maybe a Moon Goddess, Fairy, or a Nymph. Definitely a creative woman’s dress. "This is very vintage Carol Peretz——circa 1979-1980. Italian silk jacquard, custom woven with my signature pretzel logo and lily design, with eyelet tulle and hand beading. Probably made for Bonwit Teller, but possibly for a private specialty dress shop. I don’t recall the original retail price, but likely $500-600 in 1979. Today if it were possible to duplicate this dress, it would retail around $2500-$2800. Best wishes for a successful sale." This fairytale dress does have two flaws. The stitching is stretched out in the back a bit on each side of the zipper. And, 🥺 my cat put his claws on the back of the dress. a foot above the hem. Very hard to see. 53" long 38" bust 32" waist 40" hips
