This elegant cream beaded necklace adds a touch of sophistication to any outfit. Perfect for both casual and formal occasions. Made with natural materials such as bone or shell, while the clear beads are likely glass or crystal multi-strand necklace made of white heishi beads, likely white buffalo turquoise clam shell or other shell, interspersed with clear crystal or glass beads missing the j hook clasp from 40’s-50’s era Vintage and has some weight to it no stamps but could have been stamped on missing piece priced accordingly 3-Strand Clamshell Heishi Necklace c. 1940-50s, 18.5" length adjustable The use of heishi beads is a traditional craft most closely associated with the Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo people, and is widely used in Southwestern and Native American jewelry. Three-strand design with the beads varying slightly in size (graduated), connected by a silver-tone metal clasp and chain j hook is missing but easily fixed Origin/Era: Similar white and clear glass bead necklaces were popular in the mid-20th century (1950s-1960s) as costume jewelry. The style of the beads is consistent with traditional heishi work.
