Alexander McQueen De Manta Clutch in Calfskin Leather Styled like Pony-Hair Alexander McQueen’s iconic De Manta bag gets its name from its Manta Ray shape. When its wings are folded in, they are held by magnets on either side of the bag. Extend the wings to view the bag’s full span! 8”H x 15”W x 2”D The double-zip entry allows access whether the wings are opened or closed. It’s a classic clutch intended to be held in the hand. This particular version is pony-hair styled calfskin leather. Like many Mantas, its pattern has a part-psychedelic (or inkblot), part-organic feel. This bag features a pony-hair style black and cream print. Many Manta patterns are designed so they appear to have “eyes” anthropomorphizing their Manta Ray influence. The circular gold hardware fulfills that function here. The Mantas double zipper pulls even resemble the two horn-shaped fins Manta Rays have sticking up at the top of their heads! There is no requirement that you enjoy oceanic creatures to enjoy this bag, however! Has some interior staining (adding those photos soon) - it is hard to capture because it’s relegated to the folds. Made in Italy. Comes with cards and dust bag, as pictured.
