Ant Hill garnets are named on account of being mined by ants! When excavating their little homes, ants in select regions like Arizona come across garnets and bring them to the surface to discard them from their hill. The gems are then typically washed by rainwater and then found by gem collectors. This beautiful ring is made with a 6x4 mm ant hill garnet. The ring additionally has natural white zircon accents surrounding the garnet. (Zircons are natural, earth mined gemstones. They are not cubic zirconia). The ring is set in solid .925 sterling silver with an 18k rose gold vermeil. The ring in the photos is the one you will receive, so please see photos for quality of the gemstones and measurements.
