Own a piece of history with this brass and enamel 1940s Gold Gate Bridge International Exposition commemorative hinged bracelet cuff. 1940s Gold Gate Bridge International Exposition. The Golden Gate International Exposition (GGIE) was a World's Fair held at Treasure Island in San Francisco, California. The exposition operated from February 18, 1939, through October 29, 1939, and from May 25, 1940, through September 29, 1940. It celebrated the completion of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge1. The exposition drew 17 million visitors to Treasure Island. The bangle is around 1" wide and the inside width is 2 1/2" which is pretty standard. I have a 7" wrist and it is shown on me and it went on and off pretty easily and the hinge clasp works great and still fastens strongly.
