Vintage 1930s-40s Whiting & Davis ivory mesh purse with a chain strap, a hinged metal frame that opens to a square shape, a kiss clasp closure, and a small interior pocket. The Whiting & Davis company debuted the first of these handbags in 1892, and the brand reached its peak in popularity in the Art Deco years of the 1920s and 30s.
