🖐🏽 Tips for Cleaning Out Your Closet

So we have all been there, standing in our closet - full of clothes - yet, we are thinking to ourselves… I have got NOTHING to wear! Whenever this happens I know it is time to sell some clothes on Curtsy to make some cash, and buy some new pieces that are fresh and exciting! I am going to give you five easy tips to help you decide when an item of clothing is ready to go!

It Doesn’t Fit

Our bodies are constantly changing and we often find ourselves holding on to pieces we “could fit again” in the future, but that is a sign to SELL! If you still love the item, and it is gently used, but you just don’t fit it anymore, it is time to let it go! Someone else will get a better use out of it! ♻️

Not Your Style Anymore

As I said before, trends are ALWAYS changing so if you don’t like an item anymore, there is no reason to hold on to it! We are constantly looking for something new to add to our wardrobe, and so the item that you found in the bottom drawer from your preppy phase in high school can be passed on to the Curtsy closet! 👡

You’ve Gotten Your Use Out of It

We purchase so many items because we need them for special occasions or we have outgrown it, but we hold on to it for a rainy day! If it’s served its purpose - it is time to LET IT GO and give it to the Curtsy Closet! ✌🏼

You Won’t Wear it Again

This tip goes hand in hand with the last one - if you know for a fact that you will never wear a certain trend, print or style ever again, there is absolutely no reason to still keep it in your drawers! You should sell it, get some cash for it and use that money to get an iced coffee, a new trend you love or something special you’ve been saving up for! 💖

It Doesn’t Bring You Joy

Like Marie Kondo said, “Does this spark joy?” If it does, keep it and if not - let it GO! We love to hold on and keep things just to have, but it is so nice when your collection is organized and you can sell what no longer serves a purpose in your wardrobe! So why not add it to your Curtsy closet for some $$$! 💸
